Ordering: Each type of pet fish has a separate web page that usually shows one or more pictures, the price, the size, and an Add to Bag button.

How to Order. Find the fish you want to buy. Click on the Add to Bag button, adjust the quantities in the bag, click on Check Out, enter the Shipping Details, click on Continue, enter the Payment Details, click on Continue, and use PayPal for your payment.

In PayPal there are several ways to pay, including your credit cards, even if you do not have a PayPal account.

The Fish Sizes are listed in inches and refer to the total length of that item including the tail, if the item has a tail. Each size is the size of the item for sale.

The picture may show an item of a different size than the item offered for sale. Eventually an item may grow to be bigger, even much bigger.

Our Fish Pictures on this web site show items that have usually been sold.

So we cannot ship you the exact same item that you see in a picture, and the item that we ship may not look like the item in the picture, but we can usually ship you an item that is nearly the same or that will grow to be nearly the same.

Special Requests: If you send us a Special Request with your order, we will try to send you what you request.

In the check out process there is a large box labeled Special Requests, where you can enter a special request about size, color, gender, or some other detail that you want us to give special attention.

Learn before You Order !! Every type of fish for sale on this site has a special page filled with lots of information about that type of fish, including the maximum size. We strongly recommend that you carefully read about each item, before you buy it!

Paying: We accept payment by PayPal, where you can pay in a couple of ways, even if you do not have a PayPal account.

If you have a problem with PayPal, call them at 1-888-215-5506, toll free, and repeat the word "agent" until you get to talk to a person.

You are also welcome to contact us, but we usually do not know how to solve problems with PayPal.

Shipping Charges are usually $36.99 and are added automatically by our Shopping Bag, where you can see all the charges, before you finalize your order.

The shipping charges are for for one shipment, containing any number of items, sent to one address.

1-item or 100-items the Shipping Charges are usually the same and include the cost of the shipping materials and the delivery company's charges, which will be prepaid by us.

This makes the shipping costs simple and easy to understand. You pay for the fish at the prices given in the Shopping Bag plus one charge of $36.99 per shipment.

FREE SHIPPING on Orders over $169.00. This is a limited time offer. Reminder, there is always an additional charge of $20.00 for shipments to Anchorage and Fairbanks in Alaska and to Hawaii.

If you request delivery on Saturday, there is an additional charge of $16.00.

Confirmation Email: After we receive an order, we will email back a confirmation, saying we received your order.

Then we will schedule a shipping date and notify you with a second email that will contain the shipping date, the delivery company, the estimated time and day of delivery, and a tracking number.

We will also send you some information about how to prepare to receive and acclimate the fish.

Your Email Address: We must have your correct email address, or you will not receive our important emails to you.

Improved Packing: We have made some improvements. The results have been great. We can now ship to most places most of the time.

We ship live fish all over the U.S. If you want to talk about the details, call us at 1-858-270-1182, Monday through Friday.

Overnight vs Next Day? With overnight shipping you will usually get the fish before noon.

We pay more for Overnight, but it is worth it to us, to you, and to the fish, because we love our fish and want to minimize their time in the box and the stress of shipping.

Packages leave here in the late afternoon and usually arrive the next day before noon, and our fish prefer it that way. ;^ }

Where Do We Ship? We ship to most addresses in the contiguous 48-states in the U.S. and to some addresses in Hawaii and Alaska, but we cannot ship outside the United States.

So we cannot ship to Canada or Puerto Rico. We apologize for any disappointment this causes you.

Hawaii? We ship to Hawaii, and all shipments of live fish to Hawaii require a special permit.

There is an additional charge of $20.00 to ship to Hawaii. Click here for more information about shipping live fish to Hawaii.

Alaska? If you are in Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska, email us, and we may be able to arrange to safely ship to you during warm weather.

Outside the US? For various reasons, beyond our control, we cannot ship outside the U.S., and we do not foresee shipping outside the U.S. in the future.

We apologize for any disappointment this causes people, who live in areas that we do not ship to.

In particular this has disappointed people living in Canada, but we are unable to ship to Canada.

Incorrect Address: If you send us an order with an incorrect address, we will charge you an additional $3.00 to change it.

If your incorrect address is not corrected and goes to the shipper, we will be charged $10.00, and we will bill you for that amount.

So double-check to be sure your address is correct, BEFORE you make the final click to send us an order.

Cold Weather? Even during cold weather we can usually ship to you.

If needed we will add heat packs to keep your fish warm, and there is no additional charge to you for heat packs.

If it is so cold in your area that it is too risky to ship your fish, we will quickly notify you. We can then often arrange to ship during a warm spell.

Hot Weather? If you live in an area, where the temperatures are really hot, we can usually ship to you. We may add an ice pack, if needed, at no additional cost to you.

If it is so hot in your area that it is too risky for the fish, we will quickly notify you. We can then arrange to ship, when the weather is cooler.

Delivery Schedule:

Order on Sunday. We will ship on Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday.

Order on Monday or order on Tuesday before 10am. We will ship on Wednesday for delivery on Thursday.

Order on Tuesday after 10am or order on Wednesday or on Thursday before 10am. We will ship on Thursday for deliver on Friday.

Order on Thursday after 10am or order on Friday. We will ship on Monday for delivery Monday.

Saturday Delivery: We can also ship on Friday for delivery on Saturday with an additional charge of $16.00.

To ship on a Friday, we must receive your order before noon, our time, on Thursday. Some rural areas are not delivered on Saturdays.

Holidays: The regular Delivery Schedule, explained in the two paragraphs just above, is occasionally interrupted by holidays like New Years, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

So for example, if July 4th is on a Wednesday, then we cannot ship that day, nor on the preceding day.

Your Email Address: Be sure we have your current email address. Sometimes we get orders with an old invalid email address, which means our notification email is returned to us and not delivered.

When your email address is invalid, we get worried!

Please be Meticulous !! Include everything listed above in your order, but if something is missing, we will contact you and help you complete your order.

We are very well organized, very friendly, and we have successfully shipped many thousands of packages of fish. ;^ }

When will your order Arrive? We ship on Monday through Friday to arrive the next day on Tuesday through Saturday.

In our experience Monday through Thursday are the best days to ship, and the shipment should arrive to you the next day before noon in most cases.

On Weekends the delivery company has less staff to help solve problems.

The possibility of a problem is small, but it is the smallest during the week and a little bit higher on the weekend.
